As our souls and hearts awaken,
to the dawn of this new year,
I wish for you, that all your hopes,
and dreams dawn bright and clear.
May old quarrels be forgotten,
and prior differences exchanged,
for new reconcilliations,
and the hope of lasting change.
May you always find life's magic,
where e'er it may be found,
may you never put up with yourself,
for putting yourself down!
When you search to find the magic,
remember to always start,
in your utmost secret chambers,
the depths of your own heart.
May you give your spark to others,
their spark of hope inspire,
by doing thus, you further
turn your spark into a fire!
Now, may our friendship's crystal streams,
ever meet, and never part,
may the boundless stars of burning dreams,
grace the skies of your flaming heart!
The above poem was composed at the beginning of 2003, but can apply to any new year.
As the curtain of eternal darkness falls on the previous year, and, as this new year gloriously dawns, let us seek first to please God, the Father and creator of all things.
Secondly, let us strive to make our loved ones truly happy.
While we may not be able to give them everything they desire, we can put their best interests before our own.
Only by doing this, will we truly have a happy new year.
The above poem is lovingly dedicated to all of my friends, and, to those who may need an extra blessing for the new year.
The following poem is also dedicated to the same, and to all who read this page, as a wish for a God-filled 2004.
Let us neither forget past successes,
nor dwell upon past sorrows:
let us bless those whom our Father blesses,
as we follow him into each tomorrow.
Let us ne'er mourn 2003,
which henceforth is no more;
but, in triumph, let us be born,
into this new 2004!
Have a Blessed, Happy New Year!
